LONG ISLAND (PIX11) — A small airplane was forced to make an emergency landing on a Long Island beach on Wednesday evening, police said.

A single-engine Cessna 152 made an emergency landing after the 60-year-old pilot reported engine failure, police said.

The People’s Ball returns to Brooklyn Public Library this weekend

The pilot made the emergency landing safely on Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai, N.Y., around 7:30 p.m., the FAA said.

The two passengers miraculously walked away unharmed, and the FAA is currently investigating the incident.
