Upon arrival, emergency responders and deputies found the girl, along with her 1-year-old brother, inside the home. The boy was treated and released but the girl was pronounced dead on the scene.

An autopsy led to the discovery of fentanyl and cocaine, which was discovered to have contributed to the girl’s death, according to court documents.

Through an investigation, deputies learned that the children were left in Baker’s care during the incident. During a search of the home, deputies said they found paraphernalia with drug residue.
