Slender Man conditional release hearing day two

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – A second day of testimony continued today in Milwaukee in the Slender Man hearing for a young woman attempting to be released from a mental health institution. At the age of 12, Morgan Geyser and a friend stabbed a classmate 19 times and left her for dead. The girls claimed they were inspired by the fictional character Slender Man.

This is Geyser’s third attempt in trying to get conditional release. Her first two attempts were withdrawn. Geyser pleaded guilty to attempted homicide by mental disease or defect. Two psychologists for the state have testified to a judge so far saying they are against Morgan’s release, “There is not any reason to believe that she faked it all. Do you think that inconsistency is a fundamental one that needs to be resolved before she is released? I do.”

It is unclear when a decision will be handed down for the release request.
