This Sleeping Dad Comforting a Baby Who's Not There Will Give You All the Feels

Oh, to be a sleeping(ish) dad...and to still think you're taking care of your baby.

A recent clip posted to America's Funniest Home Videos' (yes, it still exists!) YouTube page - called, appropriately, "Tired Dad Dreams About Being a Dad" – shows exactly that. In it, a dad hears the sound of a baby who's crying while he's asleep, then proceeds to calm down a baby who isn't there. The camera pans to show the baby...on a woman's lap.

While not much needs to be said about a 17-second clip, it does help dispel the myth that dads are perpetually clueless. Nope, some dads parent hard. Some dads never stop. Even when they're asleep.

Obviously, I'm not about arguing that men need any more credit than what they already get - lots of mom do a ton more with half the credit - I, uh, guess this is good for all the dads out there who want a demi-hero of some kind to look up to? And I mean, at least this is one dad in entertainment who isn't doing just the bare minimum, although you could also probably argue that a mom wouldn't parent a baby in her sleep, she'd get TF up and get to that baby.

Or forgo any analysis (it's a 17-second YouTube clip) and just enjoy the video before moving on with your day.
