NICEVILLE — Three months after the death of local food truck owner Michael Ledford, his family and business partner Justin Trotter will open Ledford's long-sought brick-and-mortar restaurant, Post 20, on Tuesday, May 21.

According to a news release, Ledford had always envisioned a place where friends and families could come together and enjoy expertly crafted sushi and spirited libations.

"We are thrilled to be opening the doors of Post 20," Loren Ledford said in a news release. "The people of Niceville opened their hearts to our family and we hope to serve them for years to come. Thank you for your support of Michael and the entire Post 20 team. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!"

Patrons can experience traditional and inventive dishes curated by expert chefs with a menu that offers a range of flavors, which Post 20 believes will satisfy those with picky palates.

Ledford was stabbed to death Feb. 9 in his truck outside a CVS store on John Sims Parkway. Dylan Deschaine, 24, was arrested in the incident. Niceville Police Chief David Popwell said Deschaine and Ledford did not know each other.

"It was a disturbance between two unknown individuals that escalated out of hand," Popwell told city council members in February. "There was no robbery, no drugs. No nothing. Just a conflict between two gentlemen."
