Update: Candidates Chris Pavese and Duane Froelicher have withdrawn from the debate due to scheduling conflicts, the Commonwealth Policy Center told The Enquirer this afternoon.

Northern Kentucky Republicans have a lot of choices to make in next month's primaries. More than half of the races for state House and senate have multiple GOP candidates running for the job.

A debate Tuesday night in Boone County could help voters cut through the noise and find out where their candidates stand on some of the most important issues in the state.

Six candidates from three races will be at the Boone County Public Library in Burlington. That includes:

  • Incumbent Marianne Proctor and Chris Pavese, who are running against each other in state House District 60, which stretches horizontally across the middle of Boone County.

  • Ed Massey and T.J. Roberts who are running in northern Boone County for state House in District 66.

  • Steve Rawlings and Duane Froelicher who are running for an empty state Senate seat that covers the entire northern half of Boone County.

The debate will be live-steamed on the Commonwealth Policy Center's Facebook page. The conservative organization is hosting the event. It starts at 6 p.m.

People can also attend free of charge in person at 1786 Burlington Pike in Burlington. It will be in the main ballroom on the second floor.
