Single-vehicle crash kills Covington man in Alleghany County

ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia State Police is reporting that a Covington man was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Alleghany County on April 4.

Bedford man killed in two-vehicle crash in Goochland County

According to VSP, around 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, 66-year-old Robert Eagle Wright of Covington was driving north in a 2012 Ford F-150 on Route 18 near Red Bud Road when he ran off the left side of the road and hit a tree.

Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation; however, police say Wright was wearing his seatbelt.
