‘Simply unacceptable’: Okarche police chief sounds alarm on drunk driving

OKARCHE, Okla. (KFOR) – The Okarche Police Department is sounding the alarm on drunk driving.

The Okarche Police Chief says, the problem is growing in releasing bodycam video of a man police are calling Mr. Martinez. According to the Chief, Mr. Martinez can be heard telling the officer he may have drunk a 12-pack.

The Chief says, he is thankful Martinez was stopped before hurting someone as DUI cases in Okarche continue to go up. He confirmed the town is averaging one every nine or so days.

The Chief of Police calls this “simply unacceptable”.
