Simone Biles and Steve Harvey Award Medal to 91-Year-Old Gymnast on ‘Forever Young’

Ninety-one-year-old German gymnast Johanna Quaas tumbled onto Little Big Shots: Forever Young. The gymnast began competing in 1936, and has since been in more than 500 competitions, winning 30 championships!

She visited with the show host Steve Harvey and discussed her love of exercise and health. She credits her daily physical activity for a high quality of life in her 90s.

After Quaas demonstrated some tumbling routines and turned in an amazing performance on the parallel bars, Harvey thought she deserved something special. So the show awarded her their own medal of excellence.

But not just anybody put the medal around Quaas’s neck. The show got four-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles to do the honors.

Apparently Biles was already a fan, saying, “We watch her videos. The Olympics team watches her videos!” Biles was even more impressed to watch Quaas in person, saying, “I hope I can even walk at 90 years old.”

Little Big Shots: Forever Young airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
