Silvis sets Memorial Day observance on Hero Street

The public is invited to a Memorial Day observance ceremony at noon Saturday on Hero Street USA, Silvis, according to a news release.

The eight men from this block-and-a-half street who died in World War II or the Korean War loom large here every day.

At noon Saturday the community will gather to hear about these men, their sacrifice, and what it means to be an American.
