UPDATE: Silver Alert canceled for 72-year-old man in Florence County

(WFRV) – The Silver Alert for a missing man last seen in northern Wisconsin has reportedly been canceled.

Authorities say that 72-year-old Thomas Vandermuss has been found safe and the Silver Alert has been canceled.

No additional information was provided.

FLORENCE, Wis. (WFRV) – A Silver Alert has been issued for a 72-year-old man who was last seen in Florence County.

According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, 72-year-old Thomas Vandermuss was last seen at 8 a.m. in the Town of Florence at the Nose to Tail Animal Hospital. Authorities say he brought his dog there.

Vandermuss is reportedly driving a black 2011 GMC Sierra with Wisconsin license plate TR6217. He does not have a phone or wallet, according to authorities.

It is mentioned that it is not known where Vandermuss would be going. The Facebook post says that he has dementia and is originally from Green Bay but resides in Tipler.

Vandermuss is reportedly 5’6″ tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and gray or partially gray short hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a camo hat, a gray hoodie with a blue hood and a green colored jacket.
