Some significant severe storms likely Thursday afternoon through the evening

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Meteorologist Peyton Langford here to get you up to speed and give you a heads up on the severe weather chances that’s looking pretty likely tomorrow in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley!

With that being said, there’s a lot of moisture being pooled in, ahead of some big-time energy coming our way.

The Convective Outlooks

Convective outlooks are as they say they are, merely an outlook. It shows the areas likely affected by severe weather. They’re put out by the Storm Prediction Center, and their times are very broad. It’s valid from 6 am to 6 am the next day.

Day 1 Outlook

Almost all of our coverage area is in the 3 out of 5 risk. The timing is anywhere between Thursday afternoon to Thursday night.

The Risks

All threats are on the table. The main threat is hail, followed by a medium tornado threat and a medium damaging wind threat.
