Sig throws Jake off his boat after intense argument on 'Deadliest Catch' premiere

On the season premiere and 200th episode of Deadliest Catch, Jake Anderson visited his mentor and friend Sig Hansen to discuss teaming up for the 2017 king crab season. But things definitely did not go the way Anderson had hoped. The two fisherman go back a long way. Hansen was like a father to Anderson and even gave him his start in crabbing. When Anderson became a captain Hansen was his mentor and often worked with the young skipper, usually to Hansen's advantage. But this season, Hansen told Anderson that he was going to have to go it alone. He said, "You can't ask for help every single season because then you're gonna be reliant on somebody else every season, whereas if you do it yourself, then you're self-reliant." Anderson contended that he didn't have Hansen's resources for information. Anderson said, "You talk to people. You know what people got. You know where they're getting them over there." Hansen took offense saying, "So are you calling me a radio fisherman?" He added, "Because if you are, get the f*** off my boat!" While Anderson insisted that was not what he meant, Hansen physically took him by the arm and threw him out of the wheelhouse. As Anderson walked away he shouted, "I'm a f***ing better fisherman than you any day of the f***ing week." Deadliest Catch airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Discovery.
