Siblings killed in Weyauwega formally buried together in Ecuador

(WFRV) – The Gonzalez siblings killed in a wrong-way crash in Weyauwega were laid to rest in their native Ecuador.

The four siblings, Daniel, Fabian, Lilian, and Daniela, were killed in a head-on crash in late December by a suspected drunk driver.

In Ecuador over the past three days, the siblings’ hometown was the sight of mourning and celebration of their lives.

The remaining brother, Jorge, who lives in Ecuador, honored the lives of his siblings through song with his band.

Their caskets were carried by family to their burial site.

“We want to reiterate our gratitude to everybody in Weyauwega and Waupaca and the surrounding areas,” said Uncle Segundo Gonzalez. “Also, in our hometown of Saraguro, thank you very much for all the support that we have received, and god bless you.”

All four siblings were buried together.
