Warm weather Saturday evening, big jump in temperatures likely on Sunday

You can expect a very warm Saturday evening with some possible stray showers early on. Clouds decrease overnight, mild in the low 60s.

Another big jump in temperatures for Sunday and Monday, highs in the afternoon will get to the low to mid-80s. The next weather maker will be rain on Tuesday with isolated thunder possible with highs in the low to mid-70s.

The warm-up returns Thursday into the end of the week with the chance for rain Friday and into the next weekend.

India weighs delaying caps on UPI market share in win for PhonePe, Google Pay
India’s mobile payments regulator is likely to extend the deadline for imposing market share caps on the popular UPI payments rail by one to two years, sources familiar with the matter told TechCrunch. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), a special unit of the Reserve Bank of India, plans to extend the deadline for introducing a 30% cap on the market share of individual UPI ecosystem participants, the sources said. The decision is expected to greatly benefit Google Pay and Walmart-owned PhonePe that currently dominate the market for UPI payments in the country.

The federal government agency responsible for granting patents and trademarks is alerting thousands of filers whose private addresses were exposed following a second data spill in as many years. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) said in an email to affected trademark applicants this week that their private domicile address — which can include their home address — appeared in public records between August 23, 2023 and April 19, 2024. U.S. trademark law requires that applicants include a private address when filing their paperwork with the agency to prevent fraudulent trademark filings.
