Showers and a few storms arriving this evening

The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5…

Sunshine the morning has really ramped temperatures back up to the mid and upper 60s and a few spots hit 70 degrees across northeast Wisconsin. We are on our way down as wet weather as well as an approaching cold front has started the cool down process, which will be a rapid one tonight.

A secondary cold front is sliding through the western Great Lakes and has been producing showers and storms. The expectation is that this line of showers and storms will move its way through the area this late afternoon and early evening. Nothing severe is expected but downpours and stronger winds are likely.

This weather should be gone by 8-9pm or so and expect clearing skies to follow that. Temperatures will tumble quickly from the 60s this afternoon, down to around 40 by 10pm and eventually landing in the upper 20s and low 30s. With a light North wind tomorrow, temperatures can only rebound so much as highs will sit in the mid to upper 40s near the water and low 50s away from it. However, it will be mainly sunny with light winds.

Sunshine continues Thursday with more seasonal temperatures in the upper 50s. Sunshine starts our Friday as well, but clouds will increase ahead of a multi day rain event. This system will bring showers as early as about Friday evening. Another chance for stronger storms develops Saturday as temperatures rise into the 70s and it will be a touch humid as well with dew points into the low 60s. Scattered showers are to be expected Sunday and lingering showers Monday morning.
