Action News Jax’s First Alert Weather Team is tracking a few showers clearing out of the area as the afternoon dries out.

According to First Alert Meteorologist Corey Simma, a few morning showers pushed inland, but skies cleared out and are sunny at the beach. It’s more cloudy inland.

Onshore winds are breezy, and there is a high risk of rip currents in place this weekend.

Simma says most places will be dry, and if it rains, the showers will be brief.

Temperatures will warm up a tad tomorrow, and it’s supposed to get hot next week.

However, Simma says that since it’s the dry season, it’s not abnormal to have dry stretches this time of year.

Action News Jax’s First Alert Weather Team will continue to monitor the forecast and will bring you updates throughout the day.
