Short-film festival to return to Hilliard for third year

HILLIARD, Ohio (WCMH) – A festival celebrating short films is returning to Hilliard this summer.

The Hilliard Short Film Festival will kick off for the third time on June 1. The festival is an opportunity to allow local filmmakers to showcase their work to those in central Ohio.

Presented by the Hilliard Arts Council, the event has different categories where filmmakers of all ages can participate. Those divisions include an adult category, those who are 18 and older, and a student division, 18 and younger. The festival also added an animation category.

Screenings will take place at the Hilliard Civic and Cultural Arts Center at 5235 Center St. Winners will be announced at the event, where prizes will also be given.

Those who are interested in submitting their films can do so now through April 10 for the regular deadline and a late deadline of April 30.
