Shop grocery deals at midnight at new Old Bridge ShopRite event this weekend

OLD BRIDGE – If you ever dreamed of shopping for cheap groceries for Black Friday rather than televisions and iPads, now's your chance.

Midnight Madness will be celebrated at the new ShopRite from midnight to 6 a.m. early Sunday. The event celebrates the 24-hour store's recent grand opening and will feature more than 25 deals, samples, prizes, and live music.

Two Rutgers University basketball players, Destiny Adams and Jeremiah Williams, will attend and challenge shoppers in a pop-a-shot contest. Anyone who beats the players will receive a gift card and be entered into a raffle to win four tickets and a parking pass to a 2024-2025 Rutgers University Men’s Basketball game, and merchandise.

The new ShopRite store measures more than 80,000 square feet, with butchers and fishmongers staffing the meat and seafood counters, and an expanded produce department.

The store is open 24-hours and has a pharmacy and a Knight's Loft cafe, a name inspired by Old Bridge High School athletic teams.
