Shooting in Reading park leaves 2 men wounded

An overnight shooting in an east Reading park left two people wounded, city police said Friday.

According to police:

Officers responded about 2 a.m. Friday to the 1800 block of Forrest Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they located a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

In another block they located a second shooting victim, a man who was wounded in the leg.

Both men were taken by ambulance to Reading Hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The shooting is believed to have occurred during a fight in the area of the basketball courts in Pendora Park, which is skirted by Forrest Street between South 18th and South 19th streets.

No arrest have been made. The investigation continues.
