Shooting breaks out near kids summer camp, police say
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting on 5000 Plymouth Street Friday evening.
The shooting was reported in the corner store of Lybell and Plymouth with the victim suffering one gunshot wound.
Many people were in harms way during the shooting, with one of the close businesses being a kids’ summer camp with children still inside.
The victim was given treatment and sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
At this time it is unknown where the person was shot or if the shooting was targetted.
This is an ongoing investigation and will be updated when new information is available.
