The NFL blindsided its own staff.

NFL Network’s popular show “Good Morning Footballannounced on Thursday that it is moving from New York to Los Angeles.

But the decision caught the show’s talent — host Jamie Erdahl and analysts Kyle Brandt, Jason McCourty and Peter Schrager — by surprise, and the show now faces a dilemma regarding whether or not the talent moves to the West Coast along with it, according to The Athletic.

They all live on the East Coast and have children, the report added, and the show didn’t inform them of the move until earlier last week, asking them to uproot their lives along with it.

Starting March 29, the show will take a break and relaunch from its new site in the summer.

The show will then use the NFL’s West Coast media headquarters in Inglewood, Calif., according to the outlet, where NFL Network’s “Total Access” and “GameDay” shows are filmed and is expected to air for two hours from 8-10 a.m. ET.

The show currently airs from 7-10 a.m. ET.

Brandt addressed the move during Thursday’s show but did not say what was happening to the staff.

“The news is that ‘Good Morning Football’ is moving before the 2024 season, around training camp,” Brandt said. “‘Good Morning Football’ goes West, like Fievel, going to California several months from now.

“But contrary to some oddly-worded tweets and the ensuing confusion, ‘Good Morning Football’ is not ending. ‘Good Morning Football,’ the show, the brand, is gonna continue for a very long time. It’s expanding — more, bigger, brighter. You don’t end things that just passed 18,000 episodes. You don’t end things that have a trophy on the shelf that literally says ‘Best Show.’ And you don’t end things that elicit the kind of reactions that were coming out yesterday when people were a little confused and tweeting things like ‘You’re the only thing that gets me through my morning’ and ‘How am I supposed to start my day?’

“You start it with us. You’re gonna have to wait a little while, it’s gonna be a little bit different, and then it’s gonna be right back to lead block. Got it? Thank you, love you.”
