Ship which will carry Olympic flame to Paris arrives in Greek port

STORY: The three-masted vessel, called "Belem," was greeted by a ceremony including a municipal marching band and schoolchildren.

The flame has been travelling around the country for the Greek leg of the torch relay after being lit in the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the ancient games, on April 16.

It will be handed over to Paris Games organizers at the Athens Panathenaic Stadium on April 26, and depart the next day for France on board the Belem. The ship will be open to visitors until then.

It will arrive in Marseille on May 8, where the French leg of the 68-day relay begins, culminating with the opening ceremony on July 26.
