Shelter cannot accept any more cats, kittens

Jul. 6—The Cass County Humane Society is currently overcapacity with 121 nursing kittens and mama cats. To that end, the shelter must adopt out these cats and kittens to make room for those on the waiting list.

"We want the public to be patient and understand. We can take no more cats at this time," said Lisa Terry, executive director. "If you are interested in a wonderful new furry friend, please stop by the shelter at 700 Water St."

Adult cat adoption fees are $20 each, and kitten fees are $35 each. All are spayed and neutered and ready to go.

Cat owners can help with this feral cat problem by spaying and neutering.
