UPDATE: Sparks from welding led to Upper Valley fire

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Fire quickly knocked down a fire in the Upper Valley that was initially called a house fire on Monday afternoon, April 29.

The fire was along the 200 block of Cuprite Dr.

The fire burned an exterior shed, the Fire Department said on its X account,. No injuries were reported.

A Fire Department spokesperson said the homeowner was welding in the yard and the fire was caused by sparks.

Crews stayed on the scene after knocking the fire down to check for hotspots.
