She zipped her boyfriend inside a suitcase then left him there to die, cops say

A Florida woman is behind bars after she allegedly killed her boyfriend by zipping him inside a suitcase, deputies say.

Sarah Boone, 42, was arrested Tuesday and charged with the second-degree murder of Jorge Torres Jr., 42.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an Orlando home Monday afternoon in reference to a game of “hide-n-seek” gone wrong, according to the arrest report.

Boone told deputies that she and Torres had been consuming alcohol the previous night when they thought it would be funny for him to get inside the suitcase. She zipped it up, went upstairs and reportedly passed out.

Boone awoke Monday morning to multiple calls. Realizing Torres was still inside the suitcase, she went downstairs, opened it and called 911 after finding him unresponsive, the report continued. First responders arrived a short time later and pronounced him dead.

According to the report, a combination of Boone’s “inconsistent statements” and video footage found on her cellphone led to the arrest. The video shows the suitcase’s exterior while Torres, presumed to be inside, can be heard pleading for help as his girlfriend berates him.

“For everything you’ve done to me. F--- you,” a laughing Boone replied to Torres, who repeatedly screamed her name, according to the report.

“I can’t f---ing breathe, seriously,” Torres yelled, the report says.

“Yeah that’s what you do when you choke me,” Boone chirped back, later adding, “That’s what I feel like when you cheat on me,” the report continues.

Boone is also heard telling Torres to “shut the f--- up” while the suitcase moves as he tries to escape.

Jail records show Boone is being held without bail at a jail in Winter Park.
