Former Alaska Governor and VP candidate Sarah Palin is said to be under consideration by Donald Trump to join his cabinet as secretary of veterans affairs.

Palin is a friend of Trump’s and was one of the president-elect’s earliest endorsers.
A close aide to Palin told ABC News: “I feel as though the megaphone I have been provided can be used in a productive and positive way to help those desperately in need."
The Department of Veterans Affairs is the largest government agency, having more than 300,000 federal employees and a staggering 2017 budget of $182 billion.
Palin has yet to visit the real estate mogul at Trump Tower to hold personal talks with the soon-to-be 45th president.
Palin is no stranger to the service of America’s veterans. Her son, Track, served in Iraq with the U.S. Army in 2008, the same year she ran for the White House alongside John McCain. Her son-in-law Dakota Meyer was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama in 2011 for his heroic efforts with the Marines.
Another friend and supporter of Trump is being considered for a cabinet position as well.
Wrestling tycoon Linda McMahon is said to be a top contender to run the small business administration.
The 68-year-old co-founder of World Wrestling Entertainment gave $6 million to a pro-Trump super PAC, according to Politico.
In 2010, McMahon tried her hand in politics, running for Connecticut senate but lost to the state’s then-Attorney General Richard Blumenthal.
McMahon, worth an estimated $855 million, would join a long list of super-rich Trump appointees.
Treasury secretary Steven Mnuchin is worth $40 million, commerce secretary Wilbur Ross, Jr., is worth $2.9 billion and educational secretary-designee Betsy DeVos is worth $5.1 billion.
