When will Shawnee County pick up your trash after Memorial Day?

TOPEKA (KSNT) — Some customers in Shawnee County will have to wait another day before their trash gets picked up next week.

The Shawnee County Solid Waste Department will not pick up trash on Monday to observe Memorial Day. Crews will resume service Tuesday, according to a schedule from the Shawnee County Solid Waste Department.

Customers who normally get their trash picked up Monday will get picked up on Tuesday. Customers whose trash is picked up on Tuesdays will join customers who get their trash picked up Wednesday, according to the schedule. Thursday and Friday customers will not see any changes to their schedule.

Shawnee County Solid Waste will not pick up yard waste or bulky items next week.
