Sharon man accused of sexually assaulting a child

May 9—SHARON — A Sharon man is accused of sexual assault of a child.

Aaron Lee Davis, 44, of 639 Spruce Ave., was charged Wednesday with aggravated indecent assault of a child after an incident reported at 10:47 p.m. March 26.

Police said during a forensic interview, a child told police that Davis molested her in June 2019 at his former residence on New Castle Avenue in Sharon. The child said Davis touched her inappropriately.

Davis was arraigned in front of District Judge Travis P. Martwinski and taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post bond.

A preliminary hearing has been set for May 24.
