Sharon Cuneta denies problem with Kris Aquino
23 Jul – Sharon Cuneta has recently dismissed netizens' allegations that she has issues with Kris Aquino.
As reported on PEP, the speculations sparked after Cuneta posted a message of comfort and encouragement to Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia following news that their new movie "I Love You, Hater", which co-stars Aquino, didn't do as well at the box office as their previous films.
Responding to comments from netizens regarding the lack of mention about Aquino, Cuneta clarified that she had already acknowledged the actress in the previous post, and that she was directing her message to Barretto in response to the latter's open letter which was posted on the young star's Instagram.
"I am being supportive of the one who wrote the open letter because I love her and she deserves my support. There is no problem between me and Kris so let's not make one," wrote Cuneta.
To another commenter, she stressed, "We have no problem and I certainly do not want to cause one. I am merely giving my Julia and Joshua love and support which they deserve."
Prior to "I Love You, Hater", Barretto and Garcia starred in the rom-com "Unexpectedly Yours", co-starring Cuneta and her former onscreen partner Robin Padilla.
