Sharon Belkofer: The ‘little old lady’ who stole everyone’s heart at the DNC

While introducing President Obama at the Democratic National Convention Wednesday night, Sharon Belkofer said she wished “every American could hug President Obama — so that they could see the good in his eyes and feel the warmth in his heart.”

But by the time Belkofer, a retired nurse-turned-local school board member whose son was killed in Afghanistan, left the stage, it was the self-described “little old lady” whom everyone wanted to hug.
