Sharapova to play Rogers Cup despite doping controversy

Maria Sharapova has been given a wild card into the 2017 Rogers Cup. The five-time Grand Slam champion will play in Toronto this August after her return from a 15-month suspension for use of a banned substance. Canadian No. 1 Eugenie Bouchard called the Russian star 'a cheater' and said she should be banned for life.
