Shapiro secures deadline extension for disaster loans

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An extension from the Small Business Administration for survivors of the devastating flooding in September has been secured by Governor Shapiro’s administration.

The extension allows those affected to apply for financial assistance for physical damages to their property.

The original deadline was Thursday and the new deadline to return physical damage disaster loan applications is Wednesday, April 24.

Governor Shapiro says he is committed to helping those in NEPA and knows they will rebuild stronger than before.
