Shannen Doherty Shares An Intimate Video From the Day She Shaved Her Head
Back in July, 90210 star Shannen Doherty shared intimate, heartbreaking photos of the day she shaved her head during treatment for breast cancer. Now that she has completed treatment - at least for now - she has shared footage from a lighter moment on that day.
In the clip, Doherty is in the middle stages of shaving her head, and is remarking about how spiky her hair looks. She laughs, joking that she looks "like Bart Simpson." Looking back, Doherty wrote on Instgram, she was "laughing through the tears." The photos she posted in July show much more harrowing moments during that day, featuring the love and support of her mother and her close friend, Anne Marie Kortright.
In February, Doherty revealed she had completed chemotherapy, and now all she had to do was play the "waiting game." Recently, she appeared on the red carpet for an animal rights gala and told reporters she felt "great." "Cancer, for me, as hard as it is, has been a blessing. It has changed who I am as a human being forever," she said. "It's altered my life in ways I can't even speak of."
