Shannen Doherty Continues "Love Your Spouse Challenge" in Midst of Cancer Battle, Thanks Her "Best Friend"

Inspired by her friend Sarah Michelle Gellar to take part in the #LoveYourSpouseChallenge, Shannen Doherty started the seven-day social media initiative with bang on Monday by sharing a stunning photo from her wedding to husband Kurt Iswarienko.
And on Tuesday the Charmed alum continued with Day 2 of the challenge by posting a selfie of herself with Iswarienko during a trip to Vail, Colorado. "I can honestly say that we always have a great time together," she wrote alongside the shot of the pair in full ski and snowboard gear on a snowy slope.

Doherty, 45, ended her caption with a heart-tugging message to her husband: "@kurtiswarienko thank you for being my best friend."
In the premiere challenge photo, taken on the couple's wedding day five years ago, a smiling Doherty looks radiant in her gorgeous Monique Lhuillier ballgown and stands hand in hand with her handsome husband as they walk away from the camera.
"Kurt has stood by my side thru sickness and makes me feel more loved now than ever," explained Doherty, who has been open about her battle with breast cancer since last summer.
"I would walk any path with this man," she continued in the caption. "Take any bullet for him and slay every dragon to protect him. He is my soul mate. My other half. I am blessed."
