SFPD investigating suspicious death in Tenderloin as homicide

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A suspicious death in the Tenderloin last week is being investigated as a homicide, the San Francisco Police Department said. On Friday, May 17, at around 9:30 p.m., SFPD officers with the Tenderloin Station responded to the 200 block of Turk Street on a report of someone who was deceased.

Arriving on the scene, officers made contact with paramedics and were advised that the subject, an adult, was deceased. The San Francisco Medical Examiner responded to the scene and deemed the death suspicious.

An investigation into the incident is being led by the SFPD homicide detail, police said.
