Severe storms impact QCA: Photos capture shelf cloud and heavy rain
This morning, strong storms moved through the Quad Cities, bringing noticeable changes to the weather. A series of photos captured the event, showing the progression of the storm.
The first photo shows a shelf cloud moving in, a typical feature of severe weather systems. As the cloud approaches, it gradually darkens the sky. Subsequent photos depict a significant decrease in visibility due to heavy rain and strong winds.
Residents experienced reduced visibility and gusty winds, with some minor disruptions such as downed tree branches and temporary power outages.
