Several people stabbed at Massachusetts mall
(Reuters) - Several people were stabbed at a shopping mall outside of Boston on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
A dispatcher with the Taunton Fire Department confirmed that emergency personnel were dealing with multiple stabbing victims at the Silver City Galleria mall. The dispatcher said it was still an "active scene" and could not provide further information.
A dispatcher with the Taunton Police Department said the situation was ongoing, but contained. He declined to provide further information.
Taunton is about 40 miles (64 km) south of Boston.
