Several former Tigers thrive at Memphis Pro Day

MEMPHIS, Tenn — With the NFL Draft is less than a month away, the Memphis Tigers hosted their annual Pro Day to help 14 Tigers reach one step closer to their ultimate goal of making it to the NFL.

Present at the Tigers’ indoor practice facility were scouts from all 32 NFL franchises and even some recruiting from the Canadian Football League.

Memphis native Jacob Likes notched 24 reps on the bench press and ran a 5.05 in his 40-yard dash.

Most of the attention this afternoon surrounded former running back Blake Watson.

Watson showed out in his solo season at Memphis he rushed for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns, while also adding 53 receptions for 480 yards. He continued to shine at Pro Day.

He ran a 4.39u 40-yard dash, along with a 41.5 vertical jump and an 11.3 broad jump.
