Seth Meyers Moderates the Clinton/Trump Debate on ‘Late Night’

On Late Night, host Seth Meyers moderated what he said was the second presidential debate, but Clinton and Trump had on the same outfits they wore to the first debate, so there’s a definite possibility this was just a bit.

Meyers asked hard-hitting questions and got back some surprisingly candid answers. After asking Clinton what happened when her husband, Bill, stopped eating fast food, she replied: “Nine million people lost their jobs, 5 million people lost their homes, and $13 trillion in family wealth was wiped out.”

Trump gave a surprisingly honest answer when asked what his first 100 days in office would be like: “You’re going to see some very bad things.” When asked what bad things, he replied, “You walk down the street, you get shot.”

At one point, Meyers was attempting to ask Trump about something he said in an interview, but Trump repeatedly interrupted Meyers with “Wrong.”

Trump may have wanted to save that response for when Meyers asked Clinton how Trump gets his face that color. She said, “He went down with a silk screen and dumped the paint in and took the squeegee and kept going.”

Late Night With Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on NBC.
