Servant of the People MP throws grenades at council meeting, 26 hurt, 6 critically – shocking video

At least 26 people were injured after a Servant of the People MP detonated grenades during a council session, Ukrainska Pravda (UP) reported.

According to preliminary information, the grenades were thrown by Serhiy Batryn, a Servant of the People MP in the Keretsky village council in the Mukachevo district of Zakarpattia Oblast, UP reported.

A woman watching the live broadcast of the council session reported the explosion, according to Ukrainian Pravda.

The National Police of Ukraine published a video from the council meeting council where the incident happened.

It shows a man entering the room with his hands in his pockets. People in the meeting are actively engaged in discussion. Then, the deputy takes the grenades out of his pockets and throws at least two onto the floor.

Explosions follow shortly after.

The video shows that at least two people who suffered from the explosion fainted. One of the injured lost a lot of blood.

Of the 26 injured, six are in critical condition.

Medics are still performing resuscitation on the man who detonated the grenades, Police said.
