Seriously ill patient sees daughter get married in hospital

RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) — A patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital-South who was unable to leave got to see his daughter get married.

Timothy Chicoine, of Gibsonton, saw his daughter Danielle marry her fiance Steven Davis in the hospital’s chapel on Sunday before a crowd of family, guests, and hospital team members, BayCare announced Monday.

“It was beautiful, ” Timothy said. “The hospital did a great thing, it was incredible.”

The hospital transformed a conference room into a reception area with decorations and refreshments.

“When we asked about doing this, we expected something small, maybe in her Dad’s room with a couple of people,” said Steven Davis, the groom. “But this was incredible.”

“We are grateful and thankful and very humbled that BayCare would do this for our family,” said Joann Chicoine, Timothy’s wife.
