'Seriously Ill' Charles Manson Transferred From Prison To Hospital: Reports
Charles Manson has been transferred from a California prison to a nearby hospital, according to reports.
A source reportedly told The Los Angeles Times that the man who orchestrated one of America's most famous mass murders is "seriously ill."

The 82-year-old is a prisoner at Corcoran State prison in California's Central Valley, where he is serving nine concurrent life sentences for his role in the 1969 murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others.
Citing privacy laws that prohibit disclosure of an inmate's medical situation, prison spokeswoman Terry Thornton said only that Manson is still alive and still assigned to the prison in Corcoran.
Local media outlets have reported that a corrections department van was spotted outside Bakersfield’s Mercy Hospital. A source reportedly told the Bakersfield Californian that the mass murderer was checked into the medical facility Sunday under the name "Joe Doe."
Both Mercy hospital and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office have said they have no information regarding Manson's medical status.
In August of 1969, Manson led some of his followers to kill eight-months-pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four others at a Hollywood Hills home. They killed two additional victims the next night a few miles away.
The Manson Family reign of terror continued over the next five weeks after Manson convinced his followers they were destined to start an apocalyptic race war from which they would emerge victorious.
Manson has been in prison since 1971.

Tate’s sister Debra Tate, who has repeatedly and vocally opposed the parole of former Manson Family members, told The Associated Press Tuesday night that, as a Catholic, she makes “no ill wishes” for the people who killed her famous sister and unborn child.
"I would probably say a prayer for them and shed a tear and ask God to have mercy on their souls, but so far I haven’t allowed myself to feel anything because it’s unsubstantiated," Tate said. "I’m not allowing myself to feel anything until I know that it’s true."
