UPDATE: 1 flown to hospital after crashing into tree in Darke County
UPDATE @ 5:25 p.m.:
One person was flown to an area hospital after crashing into a tree in Darke County.
The crash was reported around 3:40 p.m. in the 2100 block of State Route 49, which is just outside of Pitsburg.

Investigators on scene told our News Center 7 that the driver went off the left side of the road and hit a tree. They were trapped in the vehicle after the crash.
Once extricated, the person was flown by CareFlight with severe injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
