Serena Williams Wants to Raid Mariah Carey’s Closet
Somewhere, in an alternate universe, Serena Williams is known not for her tennis game, but for her ballet moves. She wears Mariah Carey’s wardrobe and enters every room to the theme from Flashdance.
The 34-year-old, who clinched her seventh singles win at Wimbledon this month, reveals that and more in a new Vogue video. In all, Williams fields 73 questions in the nine-minute clip, including, “If you could raid one woman’s closet, whose would it be?”
“Definitely, Mariah Carey,” she answers without hesitation. “She has amazing shoes.”
Well, she’s right about that!
The part-time fashion designer also says that shoes are her favorite item of clothing.
And the name of her Hollywood crush when she was 13? That one’s easy.
“You know,” she says, “I loved those guys in Kris Kross.”
