Serena Williams Opens the Doors to Her South Florida Home and Hints About Moving to San Francisco

Serena Williams is stoking rumors that she and her husband, Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, may make moves to San Francisco—though, she admits, not anytime soon. The tennis great welcomed Vogue into her South Florida home recently, and in a newly published profile, Williams hints that the geographical shift could be in the couple’s future. “To be honest, there’s something really attractive about the idea of moving to San Francisco and just being a mom,” she tells the magazine. “But not yet. Maybe this goes without saying, but it needs to be said in a powerful way: I absolutely want more Grand Slams.”

Williams picked up the $2.5 million home in Palm Beach Gardens in May 2015 and has been quietly spending time there with Ohanian and their baby daughter, Alexis Ohanian Jr., since giving birth in September. The home, which was built that same year, sits on 1.25 acres and features a pool and spa, according to Palm Beacher magazine, and includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. Williams and her sister, Venus, also own a separate Palm Beach Gardens home, to which they made a 4,000-square-foot addition a few years after purchase. Williams also purchased a $6.7 million Beverly Hills home last October shortly after putting her $12 million Bel Air mansion on the market.
