SENTENCING: ‘Money Chasin Forever Crip’ gang receive collective 30 years probation, 19 years jail time

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Three out of five members of the “Money Chasin’ Forever Crip” gang were sentenced to probation, and two received jail time on Thursday.

The five men were accused last summer of being connected to a THC and marijuana drug dealing operation in Abilene.

Four of the suspects were charged with Possession of Marijuana, Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance, and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

A fifth suspect was arrested during a search warrant execution in April and was charged with Marijuana and Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance.

At their sentencing hearing in Taylor County on Thursday, they received the following sentences:

  1. Fredrick Johnson – 10 years probation

  2. Deshawn McDonald – 10 years probation

  3. Gabriel Martinez – 10 years probation

  4. Jaquon Thompson – 10 years state jail

  5. Jeremiah Martinez – 9 years state jail

The court waived Martinez’ engagement in organized criminal activity, giving him one year less in jail than that of Thompson.
