Sentenced: Monroe man recorded sex acts with juvenile, DOJ says

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Monroe man who recorded sex acts involving a juvenile has been sentenced to prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina announced this week.

Jake Anderson, 24, of Monroe, will spend 25 years in prison after pleading guilty in June of last year to producing child pornography.

Court records stated that in 2021 Anderson coerced minors to engage in sexually explicit content including a relationship that began on Snapchat with one victim who was 15 years old.

At one point Anderson drove to the juvenile’s home in Tennessee and drove her back to Union County where sexual acts were recorded, court records stated.
