Some of Donald Trump’s biggest GOP supporters were able to do what he couldn’t outside his Manhattan trial Monday — publicly rip the prosecution’s star witness against him.

US Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, New York Rep. Nicole Malliotakis and Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville were among the former president’s allies to hold a press conference outside court as the trial played out inside.

Trump himself is under a gag order from the judge barring him from talking about any of the witnesses and jurors in the case, as well as relatives of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, prosecutors and court staff.

He has already been fined $10,000 — $1,000 for each of 10 violations — since the trial began last month.

“Does any reasonable person believe anything Michael Cohen has said?” Vance asked about Cohen, noting that Trump’s former attorney and “fixer” is a “convicted felon.”

Vance also used the opportunity to encourage Americans to vote for the former president in his re-election bid.

“To the American voters who are watching this, the one opportunity you get to speak up against this sham prosecution and to say the American people elect their president, not corrupt [Democratic National Committee] prosecutors, is to vote for Donald Trump in November,” the senator said.

Tuberville told reporters that he attended the trial “more as a friend than as backing [him] as candidate as president.

“I’m disappointed in the courtroom; I’m hearing, ‘Mr. Trump, Mr. Trump,’” Tuberville said. “He is former President Trump. Give him some respect.”

He also called the courtroom “depressing,” alleging that prosecutor Alvin Bragg was acting “like it is his Super Bowl” because he wants “to be noticed.

“This is New York City, the icon of our country, and we got a courtroom that’s the most depressing thing I’ve ever been in,” Tuberville said. “Mental anguish is trying to be pushed on Republican candidate for the president of the United States this year – that’s all this is.”

Malliotakis, who represents Staten Island and parts of southern Brooklyn in New York’s 11th congressional district, also criticized Bragg, arguing that he should be cracking down on other issues such as rampant drug sales rather than pursuing “sham” charges against Trump.

“The people of the state of New York would wish that Alvin Bragg … would focus on the actual crime that is taking place in plaguing our city,” she said. “We see career criminals being released over and over again, and we see a district [attorney] that reduces or drops charges against the criminals who are plaguing New York, and yet here you have a made up charge for something that’s not even within his jurisdiction.”

Other notables at the presser were Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird and Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.

Trump said on his way out of court Monday that such supporters showed up because “they view this as a scam.

“They think it’s a terrible thing that’s happening to democracy in this country. We have a lot of them, they want to come,” he said of pols who back him.

“I say stay back, pass lots of laws to stop things like this,” he said, apparently referring to his prosecution.
