Semi-truck rollover crash closes Morrison Bridge

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The east end of the Morrison Bridge was closed for several hours Friday morning due to a rollover crash involving a semi-truck, officials say.

Beginning at around 11:30 a.m., access to the Morrison Bridge from Southeast Grand Avenue was affected. However, officials say the ramp from Southeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to the bridge remained open.

Commuters were encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

The east end of the bridge reopened just before 5:30 p.m.

No further information, including the cause of the crash, has been released at this time.
